MORRISON, SHAFER, BRECKENRIDGE, MILLIGAN, BERRY, ATWOOD

OBITUARY
Mrs. Amanda (SHAFER) MORRISON was born in Butler county, Ohio, in 1831 and died at the home of her son, Wm. MORRISON at Orange, Calif., Jan 16, 1911. She was united in marriage to J.B. MORRISON in 1851, and that year they moved from Ohio to near Springfield, Ill. Eleven children came to bless the home - three boys and eight girls. Mr. MORRISON died April 9th, 1874, and one son and three daughters have also passed away to join the father in the great beyond. In 1876 Mrs. MORRISON and children came to Iowa, settling on a farm near Tingley where she lived until 1902 when she moved to Orange, Calif., making her home with her youngest son, William. She was a loving noble and faithful wife and mother, early connecting herself with he Church of Christ. Besides her children, John I. MORRISON of Tingley, Wm. MORRISON of Orange Calif., Mesdames H.E. BRECKENRIDGE of Tingley, Chas. MILLIGAN of Mt. Ayr, Chas. BERRY of Cedar Rapids, John ATWOOD of Upland Calif., and Frank PRESTON of Pasadena, Calif., she leaves 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at Orange on Tuesday afternnon, the body being taken to Upland for burial. News of the death and burial was received by telegraph Tuesday by Mrs. H.E. BRECKENRIDGE. The Vindicator joines with many friends in expressions of sympathy.
