Died, at the residence of his father, Daniel Zugg, three miles north-east of Knoxville, on Tuesday, May 3, 1887, of lung and throat disease, William McKinstry Zugg, aged 22 years, 1 month and 2 days. The deceased was the son of Daniel and Phoebe Zugg, and was born in this county. His parents are natives of Ohio and came to this country in the fall of 1860, and have resided in this county ever since and are among our most respected citizens. The deceased grew up in the neighborhood where his parents live, and being a quiet, industrious boy and young man; all who knew him loved and respected him for his sterling worth. About three years ago he began to be troubled with the disease,
and failing to get the desired relief here, went to Raton, New Mexico, where he spent fifteen months vainly seeking relief from his malady. He bore his afflictions patiently and passed away among friends and relatives, of which he leaves many to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at his father's residence conducted by Rev. J. W. Hubbard, of Knoxville, and the remains were buried in the cemetery north of town.
