Father of Loyd Mason and Mrs. Clarence Sweeney Succumbs
Milton Mason, father of Loyd Mason and Mrs. Clarence Sweeney of Winterset, died Tuesday at his home in Des Moines. He was 86 years of age.
Mr. Mason had a large acquaintanceship in Winterset, as he had visited here on numerous occasions. A native of Pleasantville, he had lived in Des Moines the past 35 years, where he served as a stationary engineer.
In addition to Mr. Mason and Mrs. Sweeney, he is survived by his wife; and four other children, Mrs. Ray Polson of Wellman, Mrs. Alex Fidlar of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Clifford Pitts of Waukegan, Ill., and Elmer Mason of Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held from his home in Des Moines at 2 p.m. this Thursday and burial will be made at the cemetery in Pleasantville.
