Funeral services for Clarence W. Roegler, 87, Iowa City, former West Branch area farmer, were held at Iowa City April 2 with the Rev. Samuel Hahn officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Iowa City. Mr. Roegler died at the Beverly Manor Care center March 30.

The son of Joseph and Mary Hahn Roegler, he was born in Johnson county June 6, 1896 and graduated from West Branch high school. He was married to Nancy Rader at Iowa City June 7, 1916. She died Aug. 4, 1964. He married Grace Thomason at West Liberty Oct. 9, 1965.

He farmed west of West Branch until 1949 when he moved to Iowa City. He was a member of the West Branch Methodist church and a 50 year member of the IOOF lodge in Iowa City.

He is survived by a son, Darrell, Iowa City; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Wendall (Lucille) Keith, Muscatine and Mrs. Ralph (Burnetta) Jensen, Pharr, Texas; a stepson, Delbert Thomason, Atalissa; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, 2 sons, a sister and a grandson.
