OBITUARY

Harry P. Larson was born on July 19, 1863, in Vanse diocese, Vanse Sogn, Christiansand, Norway, his parents being Lars and Helena Larson. The father gaard on which he spend his early boyhood days was known as Maberg.

When he was nine years old, in 1872 the family moved to America. Their first location was Milwaukee, Wis. Their stop at this city was brief, and the moved westward to Hamilton county, Iowa, where the deceased has lived with the exception of two years when he lived in Story City. The family resided on a farm near Randall until about four years ago when the moved to Jewell, where Mr. Larson passed away on Thursday, June 4th, at the age of 61 years and ten a half months.

On February 11, 1892, he was joined in wedlock to Miss Christina Sampson of this place, to which union five children were born, four of whom are left with their mother to mourn his loss. They are Lewis of Randall, Julius and Carl and Mrs. Otis Thorsbakken of Kenyon, Minn. He also leaves a sist er, Mrs. S. C. Severson and a brother John L. Larson of Jewell.

Funeral services were held at Jewell on Saturday. Those from here in attendance were Mssrs and Mesdames Iver, Ed, T. I., Iver I. and John Sampson and Amel Valem.
