Duball - Gorkow marriage - 1950

Strawbery Point: Miss Thelma May Gorkow, daughter of Mrs. Jeanette Gorkow of Strawberry Point, and Mr. Raymond A. Duball, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Duball of McGregor, were united in marriage, Wednesday, Aug. 02. The Rev. Wayne L. Carlson, pastor of the Methodist church in Strawberry Point, officiated at the ceremony there. Friends of the bride were her attendants, while William R. Gorkow, Cedar Rapids, brother of the bride, was best man, and Emmett McCormick, brother-in-law of the groom, and Paul Hartke, brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.

The bride is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and has been employed as a secretary of the Frutchey and Forey Co., in Cedar Rapids. The groom is a graduate of the McGregor high school and is employed by the Unique Balance Co. of Dubuque.
