Funeral services for Harold Edward Weaver, 78, were held at First United Chruch of Christ April 30 with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Randall Weaver, Rory and Reece Dewell, Robbie and Devin Fell and Monte Sayles. Betty Vitense was organist and Nancy Hipple was vocalist.

Mr. Weaver died at Cedar Manor April 27.

The son of Charley and Nellie Moyer Weaver, he was born near Morley Sept. 28, 1905. He graduated from Anamosa high school and was married to Pearl M. Brady at Anamosa Feb. 19,1931.

A resident of Tipton for 38 years, he was employed as a cheesemaker for many years. His last employment was as custodian of the Tipton Community Park.

He was a member of First United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Norma Fell, Iowa City; Mrs. Larry (Nonie) Dewell, Clarence and Mrs. Everett (Darlys) Sayles, LeClaire; 2 sons, Vernon, Tipton and Arnie, St. Joseph, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a brother, Lelan, Marion. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, a brother and 2 granddaughters.
