Raymond Vincent Waldschmitt was born Jan. 22, 1917 to John Valentine and Bernadine “Dena” Zenk Waldschmitt. He died May 14, 2001 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Remsen, IA. Raymond served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.

Edwin Henry Wendt was born Nov. 13, 1914 to Christian Diedrick and Laurinda Myrtle “Laura” Hamilton Wendt. He died May 29, 1985 and is buried in Plymouth Presbyterian Cemetery, Brunsville, IA. 

Edwin served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a power turret and gun site mechanic with the 489th Bomber Squadron.

Allen Hahn Wernli was born Mar. 23, 1909 to Otto Rudolph and Dorathea Hahn Wernli. He died Aug. 7, 1981 and is buried in Memorial Cemetery, LeMars, IA.

Herman O. Wilken was born May 16, 1926 to Frerich and Therese Redelfs Wilken. He died Aug. 6. 2001 and is buried in Saint Peter Cemetery, Brunsville, IA.

Herman served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a finance clerk with the 5th Infantry in the European Theater.

Roy Emil Albert Willer was born Jan. 27, 1909 to Carl and Gertrude Mangelsen Willer. He died Apr. 18, 1948 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Akron, IA. 

Sgt. Willer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 507th Coast Artillery 4th Training Regiment.

Ralph N. Wiltgen was born Jan. 28, 1923 to Nicholas W. and Dorothy K. Nemmers Wiltgen. He died July 10, 1952 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars, IA. 2nd Lt. Wiltgen served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
