IN SERVICE
Lance Corporal Garrett Storhoff

USMC Lance Corporal Garrett STORHOFF is currently stationed in Japan for six months.

STORHOFF is an F18 Alpha Jet aviation mechanic. His job includes repairing or replacing anything in the jet's powerline (pumps, engine parts, etc.). STOFHOFF also checks the pre-flight list with the pilot to make sure everything on the jet works, which may take an hour or longer.

After landing, STORHOFF refuels and repowers the jet, and goes through then entire process again for the next departure. There is no air crew, so by using only hand signals, STORHOFF also launches and taxis jets.

He is the son of Greg and Crystal STORHOFF of Mount Ayr.
