Robert R. TWAY, a former student of the Mount Ayr high school and a graduate of the Oklahoma School of Mines, has been appointed one of the professors at
the school of mines and metallurgy at a good salary. Until his recent appointment, he was county surveyor of Latimore County, Oklahoma.
Mrs. E. M. DUNBAR and Kenneth arrived Tuesday from Lenox to join her husband, who is employed in H. E. CALLEN'S barbershop.
DIAGONAL - Mr. and Mrs. James STANLEY, living north of town, are the proud parents of a baby girl, born September 19. Henry BEVINS and family moved last
week to Thayer, where he has purchased a barbershop. Born, Friday morning, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles WADDELL, a boy. William H. GOODALE returned last
Sunday from New York City, where he had gone with a carload of chicks. Harry CHRITTENDEN has accepted a position in the Diagonal Drug an dJewlery Company's
Store and began work last week. Rev. Fred MEAD and family came this week from Hebron and are moving into the parsonage in Knowlton, where he will
serve as pastor for the coming year. W. R. CREES, of Grand Junction, came last week and is working in the JESSUP Drug Store.
EAST WASHINGTON - Mr. and Mrs. Lon DANT are the proud parents of a baby boy.
KELLERTON - W. LK. FRISBY has just received a fine new delivery wagon. He expects to buy a team and run his own delivery. George FORSYTHE will be
the driver. W. E. WHEELER and George FULLER went Monday to Leon to take charge of the barbershop which they bought there last week.
LIBERTY - Harold LORIMOR has purchased the camera and fixtures from James GAMMON and is now prepared to work in that line.
MALOY - Mr. and Mrs. Merle HUFFMAN are the proud parents of a baby girl, born September 21.
