A county Hereford Breeders Association was organized August 21, and the following officers were elected: President F. L. McCREARY; vice-president, W. R. DUFFIELD; and secretary, Clifford JOHNSON. Directors elected are Maynard LaMOND, A. G. MOFFATT, John TRIGGS, Harold FOLTZ and Luther DAVIS.

By Order of the postal department, effective the first of September, Rural Route 1, served by J. E. BRADLEY, will be extended in north Mount Ayr to serve 13 patrons residing within the city limits.

William Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. KELLEY, of Middle Fork township and Gretchen Suzanne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard TODD, of Mount Ayr, are among 600 entires in the baby health contest held annually in connection with the Iowa State Fair.

The organization of the new Women's Socity of Christian Service will take place in the local Methodist Church on September 5. The society will bring together members of the three women's societies - the Women's Home Missionary Society, the Women's Foreign Missionary Society and the Ladies' Aid Society.

R. S. KERR, district manager for the Register and Tribune Company, took Tom GOLLIDAY, Donald GUTHRIE, Dwayne RICHEY, Lloyd GERMAN, Rex RUSK and Tommy TEALE, carrier salesmen, Thursday to Sidney to attend the rodeo as a bonus for work done the past few weeks.
