Three Mount Ayr Community Raider wrestlers will represent the high school at the state wrestling tournament in Des Moines. Joey KING at 189 pounds, Mitch GOURLEY at 140 pounds, and Brett SHIELDS at 119 pounds will be wrestling in the class 1A wrestling tournament. SHIELDS and KING each won the district tournament titles whild GOURLEY wrestled back to take second and advance.

Diagonal Maroonettes just have to pull off one upset Saturday night and they will be in the girls state basketball tournament. The Maroonettes defeated Lenox 52-35 Tuesday night to make it to the regional final game, where they will face eighth-rated Treynor for the chance to make the trip to Veteran's Auditorium.
