E. W. Brooks expects to move his cigar factory next week to the rooms over Wilson's Grocery store.

Alice Van Hoozer came last week from Kansas City, MO to act in the capacity of trimmer for the Milligan Sisters in their millinery shop.

John Getz was called off the witness stand this morning because one of his cows got into the corn bin at his home west of town and foundered. He left with Dr. Sheumaker for his home immediately.

KELLERTON - Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Manning and little son came from Grant City Wednesday night to pack their household goods and move to Grant City, where Mr. Manning is engaged in the restaurant business.

HIGH POINT - On Wednesday at the M.E. parsonage in Mount Ayr the marriage of Mable M. Wood to Corwin E. Main was solemnized, Rev. Wm Shipman officiating. A merry crowd collected Thursday evening and charivaried (sic) Mr. and Mrs. Main. The music furnished was of rather discordant nature, but was the best that could be produced considering their equipment, which consisted of one plow lay, string of sleigh bells, cowbell, discarded buzz saw (used as a two-man instrument), a wagon spindle and a number of shotguns. After they had played a number of open air selections, they were invited in by Corwin and treated to cigars and apples.

HICKORY GROVE - Mr. and Mrs. Alden Thompson are rejoicing over the arrival of an eight-pound baby boy, born February 23.
