John D. WARIN was elected to serve his second two-year term beginning January 1, 1958, as Benton township's representative on the County Agricultural Extension Council during a meeting held Wednesday night of last week at the Warin Oil Station. Ira CAMPBELL was elected to represent Rice township on the Council and Franklin NICHOLS from Tingley township was elected to a two-year term.

Sam NEWTON of the Roe Implement Company was notified this week that he ranked first in this zone in the final standing of the sale of parts contest sponsored by the International Harvester Company. The winning figure was 149.66 percent of the assigned quota.

  • A son, Richard Carl, born November 14, to Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy BUCY Jr., Benton.
