Shelly WILKINS, daughter of Rev. and Ms. Merlin WILKINS of Tingley, copped top honors in the Ringgold county 4-H fashion revue in competition held here July 13. She will represent Ringgold county in the State Fair dress revue to be held in August in Des Moines.

Ten Ringgold county girls have been named as candidates for the title of 1978 Ringgold County Fair Queen. They include: Sheila BRAND, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee BRAND of Mount Ayr; Brenda CHRISTNER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob CHRISTNER of Mount Ayr; Madeline FLOYD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruth FLOYD of Mount Ayr; Tammy FUGATE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean FUGATE of Kellerton; Karla HUTCHINSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond HUTCHINSON of Mount Ayr; Robin McKINNEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McKINNEY of Diagonal; Darla TAYLOR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack TAYLOR of Diagonal; Diane WHITE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil WHITE of Mount Ayr; Marcy WIKLINS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin WILKINS; and Sheri WOOD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy WOOD of Kellerton.

Six candidates have been selected for the 1978 Little Princess contest at the Ringgould County Fair. They include: Cristy BICKERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary BICKERS of Tingley; Niki CROSS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mac CROSS of Mount Ayr; Jamie DENNEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim DENNEY of Mount Ayr; Tracee HUTCHINSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond HUTCHINSON of Mount Ayr; Angela MAIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle MAIN of Mount Ayr; and Carla WINN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen WINN of Mount Ayr.

Rev. Charles KAUFFMAN has left his Mount Ayr assignment as pastor of the Free Methodist Church here, to serve in a similar capacity at the Sioux City Free Methodist Church. The Sioux City church had been without a pastor for two years.

The setting for the wedding of Terry Lynne HYMBAUGH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley R. HYMBAUGH of Mount Ayr, and Stephen Lawrence MINNICK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. MINNICK of Kellerton, was a pontoon boat afloat on Sun Valley Lake near Ellston. Guests viewed the single-ring ceremony, performed by Cela FUGATE at 7p.m. June 30, 1978 from where they were seated along the bank.
