Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

The Mount Ayr public library loaned 20,316 books and magazines to 1,685 borrowers in the town and surrounding community during 1966, an increase of 2,337 over 1965.

A full house was on hand last Wednesday evening to watch the Harlem Clowns defeat the Mount Ayr Jaycees 102-91 at the school gymnasium. A total of $576 was collected with the Jaycees receiving an estimated $200.

Kayla Smith was installed as worthy advisor of Mount Ayr Assembly No. 160, Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Joseph Mandi, of Kenya, will be the guest speaker at the regular dinner meeting of the Mount Ayr Business and Professional Women's club scheduled for January 23. Mr. Mandi arrived Tuesday in Mount Ayr to spend a week working with Milt Henderson, district leader of 4-H and youth programs.

Linda Worthington has been adjudged a district winner in the essay contest sponsored by Iowans for Right to Work.
