At the December meeting of the Mount Ayr Boy Scout Council, the following officers were elected: president, C.R. KEATING; vice-president, Rev. R.M. SHIPMAN; secretary, Charles J. LEWIS; treasurer, J.A. GALLOWAY; scout commissioner, Prof. N.E. SCHUPBACH; scoutmaster, Prof. Warren S. WRIGHT; committe membrs, J.A. GALLOWAY, Sam SPURRIER, Rev. W.E. DARROW, Prof. SCHUPBACH, Rev. J.W. BIRNLEY, R.C. SMITH, Rev. L.c. SWAN and Prof. FASOLD.

DIAGONAL -- The moving picture show has changed hands. Roy SHEETS bought Richard HERRINGTON's share, trading his new bungalow to Mr. HERRINGTON on the deal.

Chas. WROUGHTON has purchased the tools and fixtures of W.F. MORRILL'S blacksmith shop. He will move his shop here from Knowlton and will locate in the building which he rented of Mr. MORRILL.

High School Notes -- The first literary program of the season was given Wednesday evening and those taking part were Marie LAIRD, Elva HOOVER, Ruth FLYNN, Eva BEASLEY, Susie TIMBY, Cleta BEARD, Beatrice HANNELLY, Mary BUCK, Irma HOLDEN, Aurelia LAWHEAD, Josie KELSEY and Grace DARROW.
