A world record for a desert big horn ram taken with a bow and arrow may belong to an Arizon man with ties to Ringgold county. Chuck MEACHAM, son of former Mount Ayr residents, Charles and Frankie MEACHAM, now of Tucson, AZ, and husband of former Marlys BARKER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall BARKER of Mount Ayr, shot his ram on December 12 in the Sand Tank Mountains near Gila Bend, AZ.
