Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, November 09, 2000

Lisa Wilson, Mount Ayr

It's ready in full use and Sunday, November 19, the public will be invited to an open house for the new Mount Ayr Medical Clinic facility, which is located next to the Ringgold County Hospital.

MITCHELL Drug Store, Inc. in Mount Ayr has again been featured in the independent 2,000 superstars section of Drug Topics, the news magaine for pharmacists. Each year outstanding pharmacies in several categories were recognized. MITCHELL Drug Store was recognized this year as being exceptional in merchandizing, advertising and promotion. It was one of 32 stores recognized by the magazine in this category this year.

Two Mount Ayr Community high school drill team members received division I ratings at the state individual drill team contest in West Des Moines Saturday, Rachel SOBOTKA and Brooke GEPNER each received division I ratings at the contest held at Valley High School in West Des Moines. Four other MAC drill team members also took part in the contest -- Holly MEESTER, Lacey MEESTER, Rachel HALEY and Ashley HENSEL. Marilyn RIPPY and Tracee KNAPP are sponsors for the drill team.

A great response was made to the open house for the new Ringgold County Supportive Services building, located at 205 S. Hendersen Street. The new building serves 13 mentally challenged clients with activities during the day, five days a week.
