Noah SALTZMAN captured the prize offered by the Star Theatre to the person attending the matinee on Saturday afternoon whose purchases from the Mount Ayr Matinee Club members aggregated the most, upon pesenting a receipt for payment of $907.11 to the Hawkeye Lumber Company. Mr. SALTZMAN recently completed a house on his lots in the Kirby Addition. Roxie ROUDEBUSH, who came 23 miles, received the prize for the person coming the greatest distance.

The Methodist Church does not license women to preach, but nevertheless the Methodist pulpit this evening is to be filled by a woman who will preach a sermon. For the past week and more large congregations have been listeninbg to Evangelist KENNEDY'S sermons. During this time, Mrs. KENNEDY has been rendered assistance by singing, exhortation, pray or personal work,b ut tonight she will occupy the pulpit.

ELLSTON - Messrs. RIDGE and MERRIMAN, of Clearfield, have rented the east room of the new brick building and will conduct a general store in same.

CALEDONIA - Otha BOWEN and Bertha WHITE were married last Friday evening.

KELLERTON - Amanda JOHNSON has accepted a position as "hello girl" at the telephone office and Ida MORRIS has resigned.

J. F. WION held a closing out sale Monday and will soon move to Redding, where he expects to work at the carpenter trade.

KELLERTON - Mr. and Mrs. D. C. LEWIS are the parents of a little daughter, born to them on September 11.
