B. A. SALTZMAN, of Poe Township, has been elected president of the Ringgold Mutual Fire Insurance Association; J.E. PRIMMER, of Rice Township, was chosen vice-president, and Carl F. PETERSEN was elected secretary-treasurer. Other directors are J.L. GIBSON, Monroe Township; Chas. F. DOLECHECK, Washington Township; Ralph GRAHAM, Lincoln Township; R.B. ARNEAL, Clinton Township; J.J. LEPLEY, Benton Township; Rowe T. DENNEY, Middle Ford Township; and Clarence LININGER, Jefferson Township.

Lucy WICKETT, who has been employed by Hazel's Dress Shop for the past year, returned Tuesday to her home in New Virginia.

Ernest M. TENNANT went the first of last week to Des Moines, where he has accepted a position as salesman for the Green Colonial Furnace Compnay. Mrs. TENNANT and daughter expect to remain in Mount Ayr until the close of the school year.

Vionell LARSON, of Creston and a recent graduate of Kennedy's Beauty School in Des Moines, commenced work Monday as and operator in Mowry's Beauty Shoppe.

Ruth SWIGART went last Wednesdy to Ames, where she assumed the position of home demonstration agent at large.

KELLERTON -- The Christian Ladie's Society met Thursday in the home of Mrs. Lonnie GREENE and elected the following officers: President, Mrs. Minnie SEASHOLTS; vice-president, Mrs. Ethel GREEN; secretary, Mary MERRITT; and, treasurer, Mrs. Jennie HALE.
