Homecoming king and queen for the Mount Ayr Community high school celebration will be crowned at ceremonies tonight at the Mount Ayr Community high school gynmasium. King candidates include Kegan BISHOP, Nick TAYLOR, Michael INLOES, Dustin LARSEN and Jakob STEEN. Queen candidates include Morgan RUMPLE, Alana JOHNSON, Chelseea CAMPBELL, Breanne McDONNELL and Trisha HENRY.

Homecoming foe for the Mount Ayr Community Raider football team this Friday night will be the Wayne Falcons.

The 27th annual Ringgold County CROPWalk was held Sunday along the Ringgold Trailway from Poe Hollow Park to Mount Ayr. Pumptown, the HYNEK family band from Beaconsfield, provided music and church groups provided refreshments for the walkers. One fourth of the money raised goes to local hungar projects with the rest going to aid international projects.

A loss to Nodaway Valley and a win over Murray were added to the record for the Mount Ayr Community Raiderette volleyball squad this week.

The Raider cross country team ran to a third place finish in the eight team field at the Clarke cross country meet in Osceola Monday night.
