The place holding the mock trial, sponsored by the Mount Ayr Village Improvement Society, has been changed from the Christian Church to the court house. Pastor L. C. SWAN will be placed on trial on the charge of stealing a Plymouth Rock rooster, a fine specimen of the Barred variety, which has been on display at Keating's Store since yesterday morning, the complaining witness being H. H. WILSON. It is expected that the court room will be packed to the doors.

I. J. DALBEY, proprietor of the Mount Ayr Lumber Company, recently purchased from D. F. SELLARDS his lot on the south side of the square and from Mrs. Martha TIMBY the lot adjoining the SELLARDS lot and expects to build a modern office building in the spring.

J. A. WILLIAMS received last week a letter from the Chicago tailoring house to which he sends his orders for made-to-measure clothing advising him that he had won the iron cross offered by the company to the merchant whose orders indicated the most efficiency in taking measurements.

J. W. GUTHRIE has leased a garage and livery barn in Kellerton and will move there immediately after his farm sale.

DIAGONAL - A pretty home wedding was solemnized Thanksgiving evening in the home of George KOPP, when his daughter Jennie was united in marriage with Ralph LEONARD, of Clearfield, by Rev. EDMONDSON of this place. Mr. and Mrs. LEONARD are young people, well known throughout the Diagonal and Clearfield communities and are highly respected. They will go into housekeeping in the near future on Mr. LEONARD'S farm two miles east of Clearfield.

KELLERTON - Mr. and Mrs. Clarence GEORGE are the proud parents of a little daughter, born December 2. The little one weighed eight pounds and has been named Ruth.

CALEDONIA - Born, to Mr. and Mrs. James SWEENEY, December 2, a daughter.
