Winning top money was Rod SHIELDS of Mount Ayr with Jerry PRITCHETT of Delphos seceond. In the consolation event Merle WALTER of Mount Ayr won first.

In the livestock show Mary Ann WEEDA of Tingley exhibited the grand champion market beef for the second consecutive year. Her champion was a 1,240 pound Simmental cross steer. It was shown at the 1978 Ringgold County Fair as the calf in the champion cow-calf entry. Marla BROWN of Diagonal had the reserve champion among the 81 steers shown. The top scramble calf was shown by Darwin CAMPBELL of Shannon City. Tammy WALTERS of Mount Ayr exhibitied the grand champion market pig, a Douroc-Yorkshire cross. Kevin MYERS had the grand champion market lamb, a Suffolk.

Exhibitors netted $57,554.42 in the 4-H and FFA livestock show. The grand champion market beef received $80 per hundred.

Sandy WEEDA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth WEEDA of Tingley, was crowned queen of the Ringgold County Fair. First runner-up was Linda WEEDA and second runner-up was Marla BROWN.

Chosen tops in the Little Princess contest were Sharyn BASTOW, Little Princess; Brandi LININGER, first runner-up, and Kristine BEDIER, second runner-up.
