SGT. WAYNE L. DELLAGE
In a double-ring ceremony on Sunday, September 5, 1943, in the beautiful chapel at Percy Jones hospital, Miss Jean L. Losey became the bride of Sgt. Wayne Dellage. The service was read before the altar by Chaplain Col. McRae. The urns at the altar were filled with gladioli and the altar rail was decorated with large baskets of vari-colored gladioli. Capt. Preston Iverson presided at the organ, playing nuptial music before, and throughout the ceremony; also during the congratulations that followed. Sgt. John Schickling sang "O Promise Me." The bride was attired in a stone blue suit, with matching accessories. Her bridal gift was a gold cross, engraved with the army insignia. Her attendant, Thelma McKee of Albion, wore a navy blue suit with wine accessories. The bridegroom was attended by a friend, Cpl. Rudy Martin of Chicago. After the congratulations the wedding party was entertained at the H.J. Kolroord home. After the cutting of the traditional wedding cake by the bride, a two-course supper was served. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. John McCleur, of Parma, a suburb of Jackson, Michigan. For the past two years she has been private secretary to the prosecuting attorney of Calhoun county. She will continue her work while her husband is in the service. Sergeant Dellage is the youngest son of Mrs. Alice Dellage-Godfrey. He was graduated from the local high school with the class of 1933. He was employed by the government before entering the army 18 months ago. He is now stationed at Camp McCoy, transferred from Percy Jones hospital, Battle Creek, Michigan, a short time ago. About 60 of his friends attended the wedding and presented the couple with a gift for its new home after the war. The bride and bridegroom spent the week with Mrs.
Godfrey, after which Sergeant Dellage returned to Camp McCoy. He will
leave soon for foreign service.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dockstader Twenty-five years ago, September 25, 1918, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dockstader, of near Otranto, were married by the Rev. Robinson, at Northwood. In honor of the event a party was given at their home Saturday evening, with about ninety-three guests present. The committee in charge had everything planned, making it an enjoyable event. A short program was given and in behald of the guests, robert Duenow presented to Mr. and Mrs. Dockstader a purse of silver. The honorees responded expressing their appreciation. A cafeteria lunch was served from a prettily decorated table in the dining room, where streamers of silver and blue, vases of red roses, and a wedding cake made a pleasing effect. Mrs. Raymond Carlson poured. Relatives and friends from St. Ansgar, Plymouth, Austin
and Stacyville were present.

Mary Patricia Burke The wedding of Mary Patricia Burke, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Burke, of Riceville, to Staff Sgt. John J. Neils, of the U.S. Army, only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Neils, of Davenport, Iowa, was a colorful ceremony, Wednesday, at the Immaculate Conception church in Riceville. Miss Mary Neils, Davenport, the bridegroom's sister, was maid of honor; the bride's sisters, Miss Eileen Burke, Mason City, and Frances Ann Burke, Riceville, were bridesmaids. Corp. Edward R. Burke of Vancouver Barracks, Washington, brother to the bride, served as bestman. The bride is a graduate of the Riceville high school, Mr. Mercy Junior College, Cedar Rapids, and the Iowa State teachers College. For the past few years she has been the second grade teacher at the Washington school in Davenport. Sergeant Neils was graduated from St. Ambrose Academy and St. Ambrose College. He entered the U.S. army in September 1942, and is now supervising the flight surgeons office at the Sedalia army air field in Sedalia, Mo. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Neils
and Miss Mary Neils, of Davenport, the groom's parents and sister; Mr.
and Mrs. F. Tiernan of Chicago, James Tiernan of Minneapolis, Minn, Mr.
and Mrs. W. J. Tiernan and Marilee of New Hampton, Mrs. Grace Crooks and
Gerald Crooks of Elma, and Betty Sullivan, of Mason City.

Leona Kloberdanz & Gordon Niddrie LEONA KLOBERDANZ & GORDON NIDDRIE MARRY A wedding ceremony of distinctive beauty, took place at 9 o'clock October 16th, at the U.S. Naval Air Station Chapel, Corpus Christi, Texas, when Leona Kloberdanz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kloberdanz, Osage, Iowa, became the bride of Gordon D. Niddrie, Ship's Cook 1st Class, U.S.N., son of Mrs. P.J. Niddrie, of Oceanside, New York. John Briggs, Speicalist W. 2nd class was at the organ for the wedding march. The Pegenwhether twins of Clinton, Iowa, sang during the mass. Rev. C. C. Druning, Chaplain, U.S.N.R. officiated. The altar was decorated with gladioli and ferns. Helen Kozak, of Osage, Iowa, was bridesmaid. . . . The newlyweds will reside at the LePage apratments in
Corpus Christi, Texas.

Geraldine Duffy & Clare DeMarritt The wedding of Geraldine Duffy, daughter of Mrs. Goldya Duffy
of Riceville, to Clare DeMarritt of Hudson, Michigan, was an event of
Saturday evening, October 16. The service was read by Fr. William Mooney
in the rectory of Our Lady of Good Counsel church at Plymouth, Michigan.

Daisy Earhart & Austin Laughlin AUSTIN LAUGHLIN HAD 50TH
Mr. and Mrs. Austin Laughlin observed their golden wedding day Sunday at their home at 315 West State Street. A family dinner was served, attended by the children who live in this vicinity. Austin Laughlin and Daisy Earhart were married at Waverly, on October 19, 1893, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Earhart. The Rev. W. B. Pinkerton, pastor of the Congregational church there, performed the ceremony. The couple came to Osage to establish its home and has lived here since. For about 20 years Mr. Laughlin owned and operated a factory for the manufacture of butter tubs. At first it was located where the Cedar Valley produce now is. Later he moved the business to a building near by. Both Mr. and Mrs. Laughlin have been interested in Civic
activities over the years.

Mildred Prochaska & MILDRED PROCHASKA AND
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Prochaska of Mason City, announce the marriage of their daughter, Mildred, of Webster City, to Sgt. Arthur Fritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fritz of Osage. After a wedding trip to Minneapolis, Sergeant Fritz returned to his camp in Washington. The bride is a graduate of the Mason City High School and has been
employed at webster City for the past four years. The bridegroom was
employed at the cement plant at Mason City before enering the army.
