Welcome to the Mahaska County IAGenWeb genealogy site!  My name is Susie Keller-McCain and I am the coordinator for Mahaska county. My family has been in Mahaska County since 1845, originally settling in Jefferson Township near the Des Moines River near where the Old Eveland Bridge is now located.

Hopefully you will find this site to be helpful as you do research of your Mahaska County roots.  We have many genealogical resources available here. Just enter the surname of interest in the Search box to the left and click "Search" or start your journey by  clicking on the Table of Contents links. Feel free to contact me with any questions and suggestions you may have.

This site contains a large volume of information relating to the genealogy and history of Mahaska County.  Know that it's because of volunteer contributions that all of our content and information here is free.  If you would like to volunteer or contribute information,  please contact me.
