The land grants book contains transactions that were
granted by the U.S. Government agents. Making a
purchase by early settlers could have been as easy as
walking into the Land Office. Other transactions
were in payment for services in the United States Armed
Forces.
The records may be found on-line at (BLM), The
Bureau of Land Management. Records are indexed
by range, township, etc.
