My grandparents were born and raised near Deloit and Arion and my Crawford County ancestors go back several generations. The earliest are: Clark Winans, Sr. (1854, Mason's Grove); Martin Canary Talcott (1865, Dowville); David McKim (1869, Deloit); and John Milton Childress Jr. and his wife Charlotte Elizabeth Botts (1874 near Vail, then Deloit.)

The assistant county coordinator and web page programmer at fault is Bob Kuehl who was born and raised on a farm northwest of Schleswig. The ancestors of his Kuehl family in Schleswig immigrated from Schleswig-Holstein and the ancestors of his mother's Staley family in Charter Oak immigrated from Hohenzollern and Rheinprovinz.
