The following births were transcribed from photo copies of the birth register from about 1880 to 1909.
These were microfilmed by Salt Lake City in the mid 70's.

for each birth so they can be indexed. We have tried to list the maiden name of the mother, when we can read it <grin>.
Date's with * is the date the birth was recorded, there was no date in the date of birth field.

Births 1904-1906
In 1904 legislation was enacted that required certificates of birth to be filed with the State Department of Health and not in the counties. In 1906, the law was reversed and births were once again also recorded in the county. Thanks to the State Historical Society of Iowa for transcribing them. This is the index to those births for Clinton County.
Births 1909 - Jun 1921
This is a list of births from 1909 thru Jun 1921. It lists the child's name, date of birth, Mother's maiden name and the number and box of the certificate. You can get copies from the state or county. These are from the Iowa State Historical Society online records.
