Looking for information on Thomas and Catherine Williams. Both are buried in the Graceland Cem., Rowan, Iowa. Thomas died on Dec 15, 1890, Catherine died on Oct. 25, 1890. The article in the Wright County Monitor on Wed. Dec 24, 1890, under the Rowan Ripples states:
"Uncle" Tommy Williams, who has been a great sufferer for the past couple of years, died at the home of his son Henry on the 15th. at the advanced age of 90 years, 5 months, 11 days. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, after which his remains were laid to rest by the side of those of his wife, who preceded him to the "better" land only a few short weeks. "Uncle" Tommy will be sadly missed in this community.Besides Henry they may have had sons, John, Isaac and Peter. Daughters Eliza and Jane.
Peter and wife Ellen Matilda Ironside Williams lived in Dows and are buried in the Mt. Hope Cem.
