Seeking information on my MYERS FAMILY. My gGrandfather, WILLIAM ALVIN MYERS was b 1858 Lawrence Co., IL. He m IDA MONIER WEIMER abt 1885, most likely in IA, dau of Jacob and Lucinda LEONARD WEIMER. Several of their children were born in IA. ROY C.. 1888 IA; HARRIET (HATTIE) V. 1893; IVA PEARL 1895 Belmond, Wright Co. and possibly DORA EVELYN 1886. His brother, ALFRED COLUMBUS, b 1855 IL, m Mary F. A. (unknown maiden), b May 1861 IA, abt 1883 IA. He was listed in 1900 Belmond, Wight, IA census. Ida's sister, Addie E., b 1877 IA, m ROBERT J. MOORE in Aug 1897 IA, s/o ALEXANDER MOORE, b abt 1848 Ireland; d aft 1930 IA and MARGARET. Other Moore children: MARTHA A. abt 1877; ALFRED A. abt 1885; THOMAS F. abt 1886; CATHERINE abt 1888; MARGARET abt 1880, all b IA. They were in Grant, Wright, IA. JACOB & LUCINDA LEONARD were in English Twn, Iowa, IA from 1870-1900. His father, Jacob Weimer/Wimmer, b 1782 NJ; d 1883 Adams Twn, Keokuk, IA. CHRISTOPHER WEIMER, b 1817 PA and his wife MARY JANE THOMAS died in North English, Iowa, IA. JAMES MONROE WEIMER m ELIZABETH RUTH TILFORD, they died in English, Iowa, IA.
My MYERS went from IL>IA>IL>IN. Williams father, Lewis was b 1828 Germany; d 1866 Camp Butler, IL m SARAH JANE CARMAN. Other Myers families in IL/IN/IA all have the same names, a lot coming from NC. I believe somehow they are all connected and hope someone has information on this. Thanks
