CHEROKEE - Alan Lee Anderson, 61, of Cherokee, IA formerly of Sioux City, IA passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at a Sioux City hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2023, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd.) in Sioux City. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Alan Lee, the son of Darrel and Bonnie (Stokes) Anderson, was born April 30, 1962, in Sioux City. Alan grew up and attended school in Sioux City and graduated from West High School. After graduating, he continued to make his home in Sioux City until 2015 when he moved to Cherokee, IA.

Throughout the years, Alan enjoyed fishing, drawing pictures of old cars, and taking care of his cats.

He is survived by two sisters: Sherry (Nathen) Quigley of Sioux City and Linda Ring of Walthill, NE; two brothers: Richard Anderson and Darrel Anderson both of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Robert Anderson and David Mace.
