Harry Bookhart, 76, 1109 S. Newton Street, an instructor at Woodrow Wilson junior school for the last eight years, died Friday at a hospital.

Mr. Bookhart taught machinist classes for adults and service men during World War 2.

He was born near Whiting, la. February 4, 1874, and moved with his parents to a farm near Lawton at the age of 2.

Mr. Bookhart was graduated from the University of Chicago. He was a member of the American Federation of Teachers and was a Mason.

He married Inez Blakesley at Vermillion, S. D. December 13, 1933. The couple moved to Sioux City after their marriage and lived here since.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Black of San Franciso; two brothers, George Bookhart of Staples, Minn., and Frank Bookhart of Sioux City: four sisters, Mrs. Laura Abbot of Petaluma, Cal., Mrs. Phoebe Fatz of Sioux City, Mrs. Irene Elder of Lawton and Mrs. Amie O'Bryan of Sioux City, and two grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
