SERGEANT BLUFF- Kenneth T. "Cowboy" Mosier, 65, of Sergeant Bluff died Monday, May 25, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services willbe 6 p.m. Saturday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Ken was born Nov. 21, 1943, in Texas, the son of Emmett and Hazel (Perkins) Mosier. He moved to Sioux City in 1979.

On Dec. 23, 1980, he was united in marriage to Julie Wickey in Sioux City. Ken, whose nickname was Cowboy, was also known as Smiley. He worked at Sioux City Brick and Tile as a brick blender. He retired in 2005.

He enjoyed bingo and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; a special nephew and best friend, Jim "JR" Ring and his wife, Stacey Yates of Sioux City; his brother, Dean Mosier of Longview, Texas; and his sister, Ruby Spocheck of Longview.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters. .
