I am looking for information on the descendants of Andrus (Andrew)Meyer and Regina Bechel who pioneered in Winneshiek, County. They came to Iowa in 1849 after being married in Indiana. Their son George Meyer was the first white male child born in Winnieshiek county. The names listed in the subject category are those of the families their children married into. They had 13 children. The Meyer and Bechel families were among six families which settled in the area near Festina. They lived in Ossian and Military Township at different times.
