Hi,
We recently discovered that my grandfather's family moved to scranton, ND from decorah, IA. My great grandfather's name was Ernest Christopher, son of Magnus Christopher. I believe that Magnus was originally born in Norway (1861 or 1862), but am wondering if we bear any relation to other christopher's in the decorah area. Also, would anyone happen to know if the surname was altered after emigrating. Thank you.
