Mr. and Mrs. Marion came from North Washington Monday to attend the funeral of Frances Lansing.

The remains of Miss Frances Lansing were brought to Ossian Tuesday from Carroll, Iowa, where she had gone only two weeks ago for a stay with her aunt. Her death was caused by fire, which caught her apron, the flames immediately covering her person. The funeral will take place Thursday morning at the Catholic church. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, who reside here. She was only 20 years of age.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Francis and that she was born Feb. 24, 1886 and died Dec. 9, 1907. She is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
