On Thursday, May 17, 2018, June Agrimson, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 87 from natural causes.

She was born in Decorah on the first day of October 1931, the only daughter of Cliff and Ethel Chase. In 1950, she graduated from Decorah High School, marrying Alvin Berg in 1951 and later, Orrin Agrimson, in 1970.

Early in her working career, she worked at a jewelry store and later as a telephone operator which helped support the fledgling business, Criticare Inc. It was during this time she honed her acute listening abilities and incisive questioning skills that she was known for in her life. Blessed with these skills and an empathic interest in others, she was able to quickly gain friendships that lasted a lifetime, crossing the barriers of time and space, while eliciting startling revelations from people she barely knew to the point that company just sat down to her “confessional table.”

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Turgeon (Norman) and two sons, Marc Berg (Diane) and Brian Berg (Jeannie); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Mary Berg (1976) and her husband of 41 years, Orrin Agrimson, in 2013.

A celebration of her life will held June 23, starting at 1 p.m., at her home, 6708 NW Dogwood Dr. Vancouver, Wash.

The family requests no memorial contribution be made but if you do attend please try to find a favorite picture of her or the family. Special thanks is warmly given to her nurse, Jen Leinweber, and the hospice staff at Peacehealth.
