Bishop Rites At Norwalk
Funeral services for Lester G. Bishop, 63, of Norwalk were held at the Norwalk Methodist Church this morning. Burial was at the Norwalk Cemetery. Mr. Bishop died of a heart condition Saturday at the Choate’s Nursing Home where he had been living a short time. He was a retired storehouse clerk with Iowa Packing Co. He is survived by his wife; a son, Lester Bishop Jr. of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Essick and Mrs. Dan Tometich of Norwalk; his mother, Mrs. Charles Bishop, who resides at the Indianola Nursing Home; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Steele of Indianola, and Mrs. Pearce Wade of Highmore, S. Dak.; two brothers, Raymond Bishop of Des Moines and Paul Bishop of Norwalk; and five grandchildren.[Copied from an article dated July 16, 1960 in a scrapbook at the Warren County Historical Society, Indianola, Iowa]
