Louisa Lynne Ramsey
(June 17, 1882 – May 22, 1935)

Mrs. Charles M. Ramsey
Louisa Lynne, daughter of Robert and Laura Manners, was born near Knoxville June 17, 1882, and passed away in Des Moines May 22, at the age of 52 years, 11 months and 5 days. When but a small child she moved with her parents to Indiana where she grew to womanhood. When she was about 19 years of age she returned to Iowa with the family, where she had since resided. She was united in marriage to Charles M. Ramsey, February 11, 1903, near Milo. To this union five children were born. One little son died in infancy and their only daughter, Jessie Pearl, died when eight year of age at the home north of Liberty Center.
When Mrs. Ramsey was seventeen years old she united with the Christian church near their home in Indiana. After moving to Iowa and living near Liberty Center, she transferred her membership to the Christian Neck church there. Those who knew her best think of her as one living a practical Christian life in a quiet way. She was eager to help others and to bring sunshine in as many gloomy places as possible. About three years ago the Ramseys moved to a farm just west of Des Moines. It was in this neighborhood they lived when the summons came following a short illness. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Charles Ramsey and three sons, Paul of Madrid, James of Council Bluffs and Tennyson at home; three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Laura Manners of Des Moines; two sister, Mrs. Will Stevens of Indiana and Miss Barbara Manners of Des Moines; two brothers, Joe and George of Indianola, and other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted in the home and at the Liberty Center Methodist church at 2 o’clock Saturday, May 25, the Rev. W. Frank Lister, pastor of the Trinity Methodist church of Des Moines, officiating. Interment was the Liberty Center cemetery.
