I have found some information for you, but it makes me more confused than anything. But here it is.

Gid Kendall married Dora Gessle on 10 Nov 1893
Dora Kendall married Jerome Galland on 29 Aug 1915
Dora Kendall married Lewis M. Shryock on 11 Feb 1922

From Wapello county WPA records:

Dora Kendall Gessley 1876 - 1924 buried in Shaul cemetery.

Hope I've been some help, but most likely only served to confuse the issue.
