You may want to check in both Monroe and Marion counties. I show that D.W. Ward married Lucy C. Riley on 9 Sep 1867 in Monroe county.

There is also a D.W. Ward who married Delilah Pifer Joy on 4 Aug 1915 in Marion county. She is apparently the widow of Andrew T. Joy since I show that Delilah J. Pifer married Andrew T. Joy on 21 Aug 1877 also in Marion county.
