Mrs. Lannigan,

I believe I have emailed you before about my g grandfather Riley Hudson. I am looking for some information on his wife's family who were from the area of Ottumwa also.

Riley's wife, was Lillian Northrup, dau of Charles Northrup and Margarite Fox.

Charles and his parents had settled in Iowa prior to their his marriage to Margarite, in the Ottumwa area, originally from Colllins, New York. His obituary says that the family moved to Iowa when he was a young boy. The time period they moved to Iowa was probably around 1872, according to his 1915 state census card. Do you know of any Northrups buried in the Ottumwa or Wapello Co area? According to the 1925 State Census, Charles parents were Osro Northrup and Jane Reddington.

Margarite Fox was the dau of Cornelius Fox (Foxx) and Ann Dawyer, who had settled in Ottumwa from Northern Ireland. The family came to the US around 1867. I believe Conn and Ann are both buried in Calvary Cemetery, but if you could confirm this I would appreciate it.
