Funeral Set For Blucher

Services will be Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home for James Everett "Bill" Blucher, 71, Burlington, former resident of the Glasgow community who died Friday in University Hospital in Iowa City.

The services will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Courtney officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery.

Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.

James Everett blucher was born Jan. 9, 1906, at Glasgow, the son of James and Belle Chezum Blucher. He was reared and educated in the Glasgow community and moved to Burlington ten years ago. He was a farmer most of his life and past president of the Cattle Feeders Association.

His marriage to Lavona Pettit took place Oct. 18, 1936, at Glasgow. She survives.

In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, James W. of Ottumwa; Gary, Route 4, Burlington; three grandchildren; one brother, Loyd, Hedrick; and a sister, Margie Graf, Lockridge.

Blucher was preceded in death by two brothers.
