Edna Workman

Edna Workman of Iowa City, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1988 in Iowa City, Iowa.

She was born April 11, 1890 in Keosauqua, daughter of S. E. and Nellie Moore Irish.

She had attended Iowa Wesleyan College and the University of Iowa.

Surviving are two daughters, Joan Summerwill of Iowa City, and Nanette Graham of Santa Paula, Calif., six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 24 in Iowa City with burial in the Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.

Donahue-Lensing Funeral Home of Iowa City were in charge of arrangements.

Edna I. Workman

Edna I Workman, 97, died Sunday, February 21, 1988 at the Oaknoll Retirement Residence, Iowa City, after a short illness.

Services were held Wednesday, February 24, 1988 at the Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home with graveside services at 2 p.m. at Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to the Oaknoll Retirement Residence.

Mrs. Workman was born April 11, 1890 in Keosauqua, the daughter of S.E. and Nellie Moore Irish. She married Stanley M. Workman, October 15, 1913 in Keosauqua. In 1952, she moved to Iowa City.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Mercy Hospital Guild, a 79-year member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and a 74-year member of Chapter K.Q. of PEO.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Mrs. Ben) Summerwill of Iowa City and Nanette (Mrs. C.A.) Graham of Santa Paula, California; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1951.
