G. Frazier rites at Humeston

HUMESTON - Grace Evelyn Frazier, 78, Humeston, formerly of Libertyville, died Jan. 30 at her home.

Services were held Feb. 2 at Hutchison Funeral Home with burial in Humeston Cemetery.

Mrs. Frazier was born July 17, 1909 at Libertyville, the daughter of Charles E. and Pearl McClain Pearson. She graduated from Libertyville High School and attended Parsons College at Fairfield. She taught in rural schools in Jefferson County before her marriage to Herbert C. Frazier Jan. 3, 1931. They farmed near Libertyville and surrounding areas until moving to the Cambria community in 1942, where they farmed until retiring to Humeston. She in turn belonged to Mount Zion, Cambria and Humeston Methodist churches, played the piano at one time and was active in the church women's groups.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Marian Loney of Springdale, Ark., Ruth Ann Storm of Humeston; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Pearson of Libertyville; our sisters, Nellie Davisson, Beulah Pearson, both of Fairfield, Gladys Bachmann of Milton, and Florence Horn of Pulaski. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
