HARLEY W. DeROSEAR

Harley W. DeRosear, 66, Donnellson, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 1986 at the University of Iowa City.

Mr. DeRosear was born April 4, 1920 in Van Buren County, and was a longtime resident of the Primrose-Donnellson area. He was an auto mechanic for 35 years and later a rural mail carrier. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ of Donnellson and the Green Acres Country Club. An Army veteran of World War II, he was also a member of the American Legion.

On August 8, 1943, at Primrose, he married Erma Trabert, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dennis DeRosear, Hamilton, and Douglas DeRosear, Donnellson; two brothers, Verle DeRosear, Farmington and Paul DeRosear, Menlo, Iowa; two sisters, Edith Cable, West Burlington and Dorothy Dill, Wilton, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

His parents were Max and Mary Z. Huff DeRosear.

The body was at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson. Final rites were held Tuesday, May 6. The Rev. J. Winford Stoerker officiated. Burial was in the Primrose cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the Donnellson Library. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
