Emil W. Herdrich, 89, Donnellson died at 12:08 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 1986 at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born October 22, 1896 near Donnellson to Reinhard and Katherine Mehl Herdrich. He married Bessie L. Bottorff November 24, 1918 at Donnellson. She died earlier.
He was a retired farmer, was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Franklin, and was a member of Fort Madison Eagles.
Surviving are two sons, Harold and Maynard, both of Donnellson; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday, March 26 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson with Rev. J. Winfred Stoerker officiating. Burial was in St. Peter Cemetery at Franklin.
A memorial has been established for St. Peter United Church of Christ.
