Peggy Robins

Peggy Robins, 70, of Hillsboro, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Keokuk, to Roswell and Lena Lewis Bailey. She married Sam Wixom on Sept. 10, 1932; he died earlier. She then married Carl Lucas on Aug. 1, 1955; he died earlier. She then married Elzie T. Robins on Jan. 28, 1981.

Mrs. Robins was a longtime Hillsboro resident. She was a Baptist.

Surviving are her husband, Elzie, Hillsboro; three sons, Roswell Wixom, Whittier, Calif., Darrell Wixom, Burlington; and Richard Wixom, Hillsboro; one sister, Juanita Poland, Burlington; 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Robins will be held at 2 p.m. at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.
