Same A. White, 80, of Milton, Iowa, 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Scotland County Memorial Nursing Home in Memphis.
He was born Sept. 21, 1906, the son of John Henry and Minnie Alice Garmon White. He married Ella May Kinney on July 30, 1927.
He had been employed at the LeHigh Rock Quarry in Kankekee, Ill. and the Denniston Lumber Company until is retirement. He was a member of the Milton Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; sons Donald Eugene of Kankekee, Ill. and Roy Lee of Bourbonnais, Ill.; daughter Betty Hartwig of Lode, Calif.; brother Frank of Memphis; sister Verna Wilson of Milton; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church of Milton with the Rev. Ed Pool officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 today at Payne-Gerth Funeral Home in Memphis.
